How to watch videos offline with iTube
Here's how to enable offline playback of any YouTube video using iTube. Enjoy your favorite content anywhere, even without the Internet.
iTube does not have a special download function. In fact, the main purpose of this tool is to play the content hosted on YouTube while providing some additional functions. But, although it doesn't have a download button, by default it stores videos in the device's internal memory, as a cache. This helps reduce data consumption, avoiding multiple downloads of the same content. Obviously, this allows offline reading, that is to say without an Internet connection.
To cache a video, just locate it using the search engine.
Click on it to start reading. Then wait for iTube to fully download the video. Its progress can be seen in the player progress line, which turns orange as the download progresses.
To identify a video that has been cached, you need to look at the side indicator named Cache. If a video is marked this way, it is available offline.
Additionally, use your device's file explorer to locate the videos. You just need to go to the playtube folder.
MP4 copy of the content is saved there, which you can freely move to any other folder or copy to other device.
In conclusion, the only way to watch a video offline with iTube is to preview it at least once. After doing so, it will automatically be available offline. It is very important that you control the number of videos stored in the iTunes cache. The more readings you initiate, the less free space you have on your device. It is therefore recommended to delete from time to time anything that iTube has automatically stored in the internal memory.
