How to download music with iTube

Through this article, you will find out whether iTube allows you to download music from YouTube or not. We will present to you all the options available in the application to save music.

iTube allows you to directly get the files hosted on YouTube. That is, it does not have a button to start downloading a video and to choose the format, as some other solutions do. Apparently, iTube's primary mission is to stream content, not download it. It does, however, have a Cache Mode, which saves all the videos you play in a cache to avoid downloading them more than once. You can activate this function from the settings menu by checking the corresponding box.

Then click on any video to start playing it.

Wait for the progress bar to complete.

From this moment, the video is saved in the internal memory. In iTube, it will be accompanied by the Cache label.

Using a file explorer, navigate to the playtube directory, located in the root memory folder.

Inside, you will be able to see the files downloaded by iTube as a cache.

These files are in MP4 format. This means that iTube has downloaded the full video, including picture and sound. It is not possible to download music in MP3 or AAC formats here. Therefore, at this stage, you will need to download and install on your device a converter capable of changing the format of videos and converting them to audio files.

As you can see, downloading with iTube is a bit of a cumbersome process. So we can see that its most notable advantages remain reading in the background and without an Internet connection. Remember, it is important that anything you download is copyright free or that you are the rightful owner.
